Walk, and you may reap innumerable health benefits. Whether you are old or young, male or female, fit or less fit you may reduce your risk of certain diseases and even live a longer life. It’s free and is an activity that most of us can squeeze into our activities of daily living. I look forward to exploring how you can slip on a pair of good shoes and walk your way to better health. Walking may fulfill daily recommended exercise for virtually all of us, regardless of our baseline fitness level.

WHAT’S NOT TO LIKE about taking a stroll? But don’t be fooled: This simple approach to physical activity is good for you in so many ways. Today I want to explore with you three of my favorite benefits of walking. I hope that by the end of this piece, I have convinced you of the magic of ambulation.
