Erectile Dysfunction Gel

June 17, 2023 · In: health, mens health, sex, Wellness

A NEW GEL CAN HELP USERS GET AN ERECTION within 10 minutes of application. Already available in Europe, the US Food and Drug Administration recently approved Eroxon®. Today we explore the first erectile dysfunction gel.

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a common condition that affects millions of men worldwide, causing distress and impacting their quality of life. Mayo Clinic researchers explain more in this nice Youtube video:

However, recent breakthroughs in medical science have given rise to a unique solution: an FDA-approved gel that works wonders in just 10 minutes.

This essay explores the revolutionary nature of this gel, shedding light on its development, benefits, and implications for individuals suffering from ED.

Male Sexual Dysfunction

The most common male sexual dysfunctions include the following:

  • Decreased libido
  • Erectile dysfunction (impotence)
  • Ejaculatory dysfunction (including premature ejaculation in men ages 18 to 50).

One or more of these conditions can coexist in an individual. Today, we focus on erectile dysfunction, difficulty achieving a firm erection for sexual activity. This challenge is not uncommon and can be distressing.

How Common is Erectile Dysfunction (ED)?

The Mayo Clinic (USA) explains that having occasional erection challenges is not necessarily a cause for concern. However, if erectile dysfunction is chronic, it can lead to stress, lower self-confidence, and contribute to relationship issues.

In addition, trouble getting or keeping an erection can be a sign of an underlying health condition that needs treatment and a cardiovascular disease risk factor.

Erectile dysfunction is common in men with problems such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and ischemic heart disease. ED prevalence increases with age.

The 1994 Massachusetts Male Aging Study reported this statistic:

Approximately 52 percent of men experience some degree of erectile dysfunction. Complete impotence prevalence tripled from five to 15 percent between ages 40 and 70.

A bar chart of erectile dysfunction by age. We see a rise in overall risk with age. While age is a strong factor associated with ED, young men suffer too. A Journal of Sexual Medicine study found that ED affected about 26 percent of men under 40.

Erectile Dysfunction: Age Matters

Age was the variable most associated with impotence. After adjusting for age, a higher rate of impotence was correlated with the following:

  • Heart disease
  • High blood pressure
  • Diabetes
  • Medications
  • Anger and depression

While age is a strong factor associated with ED, young men suffer too. A Journal of Sexual Medicine study found that ED affected about 26 percent of men under 40.

The Mayo Clinic (USA) adds that several risk factors can contribute to erectile dysfunction, including:

  • Medical conditions, especially heart conditions or diabetes
  • Tobacco use — which restricts blood flow to veins and arteries, can cause chronic health conditions that lead to erectile dysfunction.
  • Being overweight, especially if you’re obese
  • Certain medical treatments, such as prostate surgery or radiation treatment for cancer
  • Injuries, particularly if they damage the nerves or arteries that control erections
  • Medicines, including antihistamines, antidepressants, and medicines for high blood pressure, pain, or prostate conditions
  • Psychological conditions, such as anxiety, stress, or depression
  • Drug and alcohol use, especially if you’re a long-term drug user or heavy drinker

Surgical prostate removal for cancer management can be associated with sexual dysfunction, as can some medicines used for the condition.

Erectile Dysfunction Gel

The gel represents the culmination of years of scientific advancements and innovative approaches in erectile dysfunction treatment.

According to the product’s leaflet, Eroxon® stimulates blood flow in the penis through a unique physical cooling then warming effect, helping you get and keep an erection hard enough for sex. Eroxon® will only help you to get an erection if you are sexually excited (stimulated).”

The company said on the product’s website that 65 percent of people who used the drug could have sex.

Does the ED Gel Work?

A key gel advantage is its fast onset. Unlike conventional oral medications (such as Viagra), which may take up to an hour to take effect, the Eroxon® gel starts working within 10 minutes.

Moreover, the get is topical, dodging the need for injections or other invasive maneuvers. One rubs the gel onto the penis tip for 15 seconds before sexual intercourse.

Sixty-five percent of men who used Eroxon® achieved an erection within 10 minutes and maintained it long enough for sex.

Let’s turn to some Eroxon® potential side effects.

Eroxon® Gel Side Effects

The company advises that you not use Eroxon® if:

  • You are allergic to any of the ingredients
  • Your doctor has advised you to avoid sexual activity.
  • You have any disease or deformity of your penis (such as Peyronie’s Disease).
  • The skin on your penis is red or sore or appears damaged or broken.

The website does offer that Eroxon is compatible with latex condoms. It can also be used with sexual lubricants. In addition, Eroxon® is safe for use with oral sex.

It is vital to have a check-up with your provider as soon as possible within the first six months of using Eroxon® to ensure that another serious health condition does not cause your erection problems.

Even if you feel healthy, your erection problems may be linked to other serious health conditions.

Eroxon® Price

A company spokesperson told CNN that the Eroxon® price had not been established in the United States, but it costs about US $31 in the United Kingdom. Futura Medical has not announced when the gel will be available in the US.

Earlier this week, Futura Medical announced that the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved its Eroxonfor erectile dysfunction (ED).

Eroxon consists of ethanol, propylene glycol, glycerine (glycerol), carbomer, and potassium hydroxide. Because the gel’s primary mechanism of action is the physical cooling effect of the ingredient ethanol, the FDA is regulating the gel as a medical device (and not a medicine).
